Provocation Paper

The Work Foundation issued this challenge to political parties and policy-makers on 6 April 2005. In it we argue that despite an engaged, skilled and productive workforce being a core driver for the economy, all political parties currently seem to lack a coherent work agenda. We define 'good work' and its link to productivity, and suggest what government can do to encourage it - for the sake of the economic success of organisations and the UK, as well as the health and well-being of individuals
