Leading for High Performance

Our new research project ‘Leading for High Performance’ will look at the nature of leadership required to achieve sustainable high performance.

This project should provide ground-breaking insights into how effective leaders deal with the challenges and opportunities of today’s organisations and will also indicate ways in which high performance leadership can be developed.

As with our usual approach to Consortium research, we would seek to engage with key stakeholders by:

  • Setting up a Core Advisory Group including leading academics, national policymakers and key business leaders;
  • Working closely with this group to consult on our approach and test out our emerging findings.

Outputs of the project are likely to include:

  • Final report and executive summary (printed and available for download on the web);
  • Detailed case studies of the participating organisations;
  • Working papers looking at particular issues e.g. international lessons on leadership;
  • Presentation that sponsors can draw on that summarises findings;
  • Range of events during the project, as part of the consultation process, national launch event and discussions to disseminate the findings;
  • Speaking at conferences to further disseminate findings.
