Across the OECD, manufacturing firms are integrating high value services with advanced manufacturing to secure competitive advantage. In the US 60 per cent of manufacturing firms have taken this route compared with just 1 per cent in China. Yet the evidence suggests that some findings struggle to realise the full benefits.
This event will explore how organisations can successfully adapt to this business model and what role public policy could have in helping them do so.
