Biography

Charles is a researcher in the Knowledge Economy Programme, who recently joined The Work Foundation from Arup. Charles’s previous experience includes working at GHK Consulting, both in the UK and on a secondment to its Hong Kong office. Charles has provided economics and research support on a range of forward - looking market and place-based development studies, evaluations and economic modelling exercises. He is experienced in working on a range of research assignments with EU, national, regional and local public sector bodies.

Charles has a degree in economics and politics from Durham University and an MSc in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics. His expertise includes using both quantitative and qualitative research techniques. Charles also has extensive experience working with forecasts as well as analysing, synthesising and presenting the wide range of information sources associated with future scenario building and policy development exercises.
